Krieger Dogs believes that dog training is about more than just obedience or creating a well-behaved dog. It's about fostering a healthy and harmonious relationship between canines and the humans who love them. We want our clients and their dogs to truly understand each other so that the training process is enjoyable, effective, safe, and mutually beneficial.
Krieger Dogs uses science-led, positive reinforcement training techniques to teach canines the skills and behaviors they need to succeed in the human world. We'll teach you how to understand canine body language and how to set your dog up for success in the home and social situations. You will also learn how to deter unwanted behaviors and how to effectively provide outlets and enrichment so that your dog can be well adjusted, happy and healthy. We also provide guidance and solutions on how to address common relief-seeking behaviors such as jumping up, destructive chewing, reactivity, pulling on leash, fear, anxiety and more.

Welcome! I'm Lisa Krieger, owner and trainer for "Krieger Dogs." I am certified as a professional dog trainer through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT) as well as the Animal Behavior College (ABC). I have over 12 years of experience and continue my education by regularly attending conferences, lectures and courses on modern training techniques, dog behavior and the human/canine connection.
I witnessed firsthand how rewarding and life improving that connection can be through my experience first as a volunteer, then as a service and therapy dog trainer for a local organization accredited by Assistance Dogs International (ADI). As a service dog trainer I helped train rescue dogs for therapy work and for individuals on the Autism Spectrum, Veterans with PTSD and those living with mobility challenges. I also coached military veterans how to train their own service dogs. That experience was a highlight of my career as well as the motivation to continue learning all I can about the relationships we share with our dogs.
I am continuing to use the skills and the knowledge I have gained as a professional dog trainer to educate and guide canine guardians toward a more rewarding and mutually beneficial relationship with their dogs. I whole-heartedly believe that with understanding, clear communication, consistency, patience and trust, any dog can reach its full potential. I am excited to help pet guardians maximize the bond they share with their canines and look forward to being a part of the training experience for Colorado dogs and the people who love them.
